The hydrangea fields in Meinong have once again entered their peak blooming season. To enhance the local charm of these colorful fields, the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau invited renowned travel and food show host Sasa to serve as the Flower Ambassador. They launched the “Mei Yi Nong Qing Flower Sea Tour – Floral Table Banquet” special discount package, as well as a creative Hakka cuisine feast prepared by local Meinong chef Liu Chunshu. With nearly a decade of experience at the Grand Formosa Regent and three generations of family catering expertise spanning 55 years, Chef Liu serves up innovative Hakka dishes amidst the flower sea, allowing visitors to enjoy both the blossoms and gourmet food.

The “Mei Yi Nong Qing Flower Sea Tour – Floral Table Banquet” package offers limited group tours on January 18 and 25, priced at just NT$650 per person. The itinerary includes famous Meinong attractions such as the Meinong Folk Village and the Hakka Cultural Museum. The “Warm Winter in Kaohsiung, Happy Independent Travel” campaign has also partnered with Meinong homestay operators to launch flower-season exclusive offers. These include up to 50% off on accommodation and free handmade ceramic tile carving classes. From now until the end of February, visitors to Kaohsiung who join the “Monthly Presidential Suite Draw” event on the Kaohsiung Tourism Network Facebook fan page cover photo have a chance to win a presidential suite. Over the next two consecutive months, presidential suites from the Grand Formosa Regent Kaohsiung and Howard Plaza Hotel Kaohsiung will also be given away.
