Taipei City Government’s LINE official account was launched on December 17 of last year (2013), and has since attracted over 75,000 followers. To thank the public for their support and to welcome the upcoming 100,000th follower, the Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism announced today that it will collaborate with Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation to offer a super grand prize: one 365-day free MRT ride annual pass EasyCard. The publicwho joins Taipei City Government’s LINE friends before the 100,000th follower appears or within 10 days after that daywill have a chance to win prizes.

To thank the public for their support and to welcome the upcoming 100,000th follower, the Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism has partnered with the MRT company this time to offer, for the first time ever, a 365-day free MRT ride annual pass EasyCard as the super grand prize. As long as the public joins Taipei City Government’s LINE friends before the 100,000th follower appears or within 10 days after that day, and follows the instructions in the welcome message to leave contact details, they will automatically qualify for a chance to win this super grand prize.

The Department of Information and Tourism stated that in addition to the free MRT annual pass EasyCard and the existing weekly lucky draw event,it has also added two grand prize packages worth NT$15,000 each for a stay at The Okura Prestige Taipei (including buffet breakfast) as part of the lucky draw. The earlier you join, the more chances you’ll have to win. The public can easily add Taipei City Government as a LINE friend by searching for “@taipei” under the “Add Friends” option in the “Other” menu of LINE, or by searching for “Taipei City Government” on the LINE “Official Accounts” page.
