Winter vacation and New Year's holiday arrive together, and major theme parks are rolling out various promotions, including free admission for children under 12, half-price tickets for those born in the Year of the Horse, and free entry for elementary school students with full-score report cards—drawing visitors' attention during the holiday.

Hsinchu — Leofoo Village
Leofoo Village Theme Park will launch a “Free for Children Under 12” promotion from January 30 to February 9. From Lunar New Year’s Day to the fifth day of the New Year, those born in the Year of the Horse can enjoy half-price tickets, limited to 25 people per day. Additionally, from January 25 to February 10 during the winter vacation and Spring Festival (excluding January 30, New Year’s Eve), Leofoo Village has partnered with Hsinchu Bus to offer a convenient traffic-avoidance shuttle service, with two direct buses per day. Ticket holders can also enjoy an exclusive Leofoo Village admission price of NT$599.
Taichung — Lihpao Land
Lihpao Land offers free admission for children under 12 from January 31 to February 9 during the Spring Festival. Those born in the Year of the Horse can get half-price tickets for the first 25 entrants each day from January 31 to February 4. Meanwhile, a limited-time single-ticket special at NT$587 is available from now until January 30, valid until February 16.
Nantou — Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village
The 2014 Sun Moon Lake Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Cherry Blossom Festival offers tickets at a special price of NT$580 and youth tickets at NT$390 from now until January 30 and from February 5 to April 6, plus a freeTeddy Bear Gondola ride on the same day. From February 5 to 28 during the cherry blossom festival, tickets are NT$580, afternoon tickets (sold from 2:30–4:30 PM) are NT$450, and night cherry blossom tickets (sold from 4:30–5:30 PM) are NT$390. From January 31 to February 4 during the Spring Festival, ticket prices return to the regular NT$780. In addition, from February 6 to 28, visitors wearing traditional Japanese kimonos (full traditional yukata or kimono attire) to enjoy the cherry blossoms can avail of a “two people enter, one person free” promotion.
Yunlin — Janfusun Fancyworld
Janfusun Fancyworld offers daytime admission for just NT$699 before March 2, NT$399 after 1:00 PM, and NT$299 after 5:00 PM.
Kaohsiung — E-DA World
E-DA Theme Park has partnered with Cartoon Network for the first time, launching six lantern zones featuring five cartoons. Online pre-orders and purchases during the Spring Festival also come with a mascot tote lantern dragon. A new Spring Festival couple’s ticket (pre-order available from now until February 15) is just NT$790 per person (original price NT$899), and the package also includes two mascot tote lanterns and two VIP facility pass vouchers. Additionally, from January 31 to February 4, students and youth ticket buyers will receive a mascot-exclusive tote lantern. Those who show a photo of riding the high-speed rail cartoon train can exchange for a mascot-exclusive tote lantern at designated E-DA Theme Park stores.
Hualien — Yehliu Ocean Park
Hualien Yehliu Ocean Park launches the “Elementary Students with Full Scores: Free Theme Park Fun During Winter Vacation” program. Students from national elementary schools can present a full-score report card to enjoy free admission to Yehliu Ocean Park from now until January 30 and from February 4 to 10. This does not apply during the Spring Festival from January 31 to February 3.
