Located in Shanwai, Jinhu Township, Kinmen, Babo Italian Coffee may be a coffee shop, but its most popular item is the homemade pickled cabbage dumplings. They’re not only a must-try for local soldiers but also attract many visitors with their unique flavor. When asked why they decided to put pickled cabbage in dumplings, the owner of Babo Italian Coffee explained that since everyone makes napa cabbage dumplings, they thought, why not try something different? That’s when they remembered Kinmen’s local specialty—pickled cabbage—and added it to the dumplings, giving birth to the pickled cabbage dumplings.
