1. Home. Baking Lab
Although it has been open for less than half a year, Home. Baking Lab has already gained popularity in Taichung. The shop has carefully planned menus for beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels, so even first-timers need not fear failure. After customers choose their favorite desserts, the staff will explain the experience process and provide timers and iPads, which include step-by-step tutorials.

If you still don’t understand the steps, there are also specialists who can guide you personally. Here, you can DIY various types of cakes, sweet pies, baked cookies, and Tiramisu. The store also provides pink boxes to pack your homemade creations.

2. DIY Baking Club
Similar to the above, customers are also given timers and iPads. What’s particularly unique is that in addition to complete tools and ingredients, DIY Baking Club also has three professional mixers to speed up the process and enhance the fun of DIY dessert making.

There are currently three branches, located on Jhingming 1st St. in West Central District, Taichung, Fuke Rd. in West Tuen District, Taichung, and near Taipei Arena. The menu includes as many as 38 kinds of desserts, such as various cakes, cream puffs, sweet and savory pies, sweet tarts, chocolates, and handmade cookies.

3. Baking Place
At first glance, Baking Place may be mistaken for a café, but it's actually a DIY baking studio located on Wuchuan Road in North District, Taichung. While waiting, visitors can enjoy the shop’s snacks and drinks. The interior is designed in an industrial style with neat displays, along with thoughtful touches like carts and floral arrangements that catch the eye of many female customers. In addition to cakes, cookies, fruit tarts, sweet and savory pies, and cream puffs, Baking Place also offers creatively shaped desserts such as lollipop cakes and icing cookies.
