Various fields in Taiwan are increasingly making their mark on the international stage, and the Wulai Multi-Level Parking Lot has become a new source of pride for Taiwan. Located in Wulai District, New Taipei City, this parking facility has been shortlisted among the top five in the renowned American architecture website Architizer's "A+ Architecture Awards." It will compete for the championship in the "Parking" category under Transportation, going head-to-head with entries from Austria, the United States, North Macedonia, Australia, and other countries.

The judging panel for the "A+ Architecture Awards" consists of over 200 professional architects. This year, the number of award categories has increased to more than 60, up from 52 last year. The Wulai Multi-Level Parking Lot, rebuilt in 2011, was previously shortlisted for the 2013 World Architecture Festival’s Transport Facility Award. Now, it has once again earned recognition from the "A+ Architecture Awards" and will compete with entries from Austria, the United States, North Macedonia, Australia, and others for the championship.

The Wulai Multi-Level Parking Lot features four above-ground levels with nearly 500 parking spaces. Its circular design, built with a Q-shaped aluminum grille, not only blocks western sun exposure and improves ventilation but also subtly incorporates the diamond-patterned symbolism found in Atayal weaving, while representing the mountainous contours of the Wulai region.

From now until March 21st, the "A+ Architecture Awards" website is open for online voting. Users can vote by logging in with their Facebook accounts. As of press time, the Wulai Multi-Level Parking Lot is in second place with 26% of the vote, trailing behind North Macedonia’s 41% and leading third-place Australia by 6%.
