Since Korean is not as similar to Taiwanese languages as Japanese is, most students who want to learn Korean tend to start by enrolling in language centers. Most Korean language schools are language centers affiliated with universities, with fewer private language schools, making the environment relatively simpler. Moreover, most are concentrated in the capital, Seoul.The most popular universities include Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Dankook University.These schools offer regular language courses each quarter, as well as intensive or summer programs during winter and summer breaks.

Additionally, Korea and Taiwan have signed a Working Holiday agreement. Similar to Japan, it is open tostudents aged 18 to 30,allowing them to engage in activities such as studying abroad, working, and traveling under a visa valid for up to one year. However, since the Korean language is quite different from Taiwanese languages, students interested in this program are advised to first learn basic Korean so they can communicate and manage daily life with ease before starting their working holiday.

Besides language studies, each school in Korea also offers cultural workshops and field trips. Additionally, some schools design different course schedules for students with varying backgrounds and arrange Korean cultural experiences tailored for international students, such as Korean cooking classes and Taekwondo lessons. However, various courses require a Korean proficiency test for level placement before enrollment.
