Fly again to Japan for cherry blossom season with super affordable Wi-Fi

According to the latest cherry blossom front forecast in Japan, this year the peak blooming period in Tokyo and Osaka will be at the end of March and early April, then gradually moving north all the way to Hokkaido. To allow travelers to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossom scenery, TransAsia Airways has not only resumed flights to Ishigaki on April 2 and increased flights to Osaka starting April 10, but also partnered with JAPANPAGE, a specialist in Japanese travel information, to launch a special Wi-Fi router rental promotion. This allows travelers in Japan to stay connected at all times and share the beautiful cherry blossoms and Japanese culture with family and friends.

 

From now until March 31, 2015, travelers who purchase TransAsia Airways tickets or package tours to Japan can first register at the airline’s dedicated Wi-Fi rental application website (http://japanpage.net/transasia). The daily rental fee for a 3G Wi-Fi router is 700 Japanese yen (approximately NT$199); for a 4G LTE router, it is 1,020 Japanese yen (approximately NT$294). The minimum rental period is three days, and applications must be made by 12:00 noon three days before the start of usage. Each device supports up to 10 simultaneous connections. The communication service is provided by NTT Docomo’s FOMA Plus Area, Japan’s largest telecommunications provider.

 

Rental plans can be applied for individually based on communication and insurance options, or travelers may choose an All-in-One integrated plan (minimum rental period of three days). Those who opt for the All-in-One plan will enjoy an additional free day of use.

 

For pick-up and return, travelers can choose to collect their device at Songshan Airport before departure or have it delivered to their home (with the traveler bearing the one-day delivery fee for rentals). Alternatively, devices can be picked up or returned upon arrival at Narita Airport, Haneda Airport, New Chitose Airport, Kansai Airport, Fukuoka Airport, or Naha Airport (recently opened).
