The weekly “Luminous Taichung – The Fixed Projection Show at the Taiwan Governor-General’s Office,” screened every Saturday evening from 7 to 9 PM, uses brilliant 3D projection art to narrate the century-old charm of the Taiwan Governor-General’s Office. In its classic version, various festival-themed segments such as the “New Year’s Greeting Edition” and “Mazu Legend Edition” have been shown. Now, in line with the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the “Dragon Boat Festival Special Edition” will be launched, featuring a story of approximately 4 minutes.

Based on the long-standing folk legends of the Dragon Boat Festival, the Taiwan Governor-General’s Office is transformed into a Leifeng Pagoda surrounded by white snakes, while the twelve zodiac animals float in the air with a futuristic glow. There are also music-synchronized Easter eggs, along with traditional Dragon Boat Festival activities such as mugwort, realgar wine, warding off the five poisonous creatures, standing an egg at noon, zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), and dragon boat racing — all aiming to offer blessings of warding off evil and plague.

The 3D fixed-projection show “Dragon Boat Festival Special Edition” at the Taiwan Governor-General’s Office will begin screening on May 31 and continue through early July, bringing a cultural celebration filled with folk traditions to local residents. Everyone is welcome to visit on Saturday evenings to enjoy this “exclusively available in Taichung” artistic spectacle.
