Opened just last summer, why东西 presents adorable cartoon characters on their toast and coffee, offering nearly ten different characters—such as Gudetama, Perry the Platypus, and Mickey & Minnie on toasted bread, or Donald Duck, No-Face, and the Eyeball Monster on latte art. The shop is also filled with cute cartoon plush toys, adding even more charm.

2. Cronutt 可拿滋The shop frequently offers kawaii-shaped cronuts themed around characters like Minions, the Eyeball Monster, Totoro, and Poké Balls, paired with various flavors. Aside from Tainan, Cronutt also has branches in Taipei’s East District, Tianmu, and Taichung’s Fengjia.

3. Boring Lang – Nostalgic Ice Cream & Cold Drinks
Originally an old-school ice shop located on Tainan’s Shennong Street, Boring Lang has gotten creative by sandwiching cartoon-shaped cookies with classic Taiwanese shaved ice, transforming them into adorable macaron-style ice cream treats. The ice flavors come in four options—milk, Oreo, chocolate, and strawberry—and you can also add one of four toppings to create a cute and refreshing dessert.
