Qixi Valentine's Day is approaching. To celebrate the romantic atmosphere, the Taipei Backstage Business District is launching the "Love & Fireworks: Hearts Set in Backstage" event from July 22 to August 16. Local shops are offering a series of couple-exclusive deals, such as the chance to purchase a luxury Valentine’s gift set worth tens of thousands of dollars for just 1,314 TWD, or super-popular Valentine’s gifts for only 520 TWD. On August 2 and 3, visitors dressed in couple outfits can take photos in the district to receive one of 200 limited-edition small gifts. There will also be activities like the “Couple PK Challenge” and a “Love DIY” experience zone. Over 60 types of discounts starting from 10% off are available from district shops. Starting August 2, customers spending over 1,000 TWD at participating shops marked with the “Summer Festival Partner Shop” sticker will receive a limited-edition Backstage Business District shopping bag on the spot.

Chen Ching-fu, chairman of the Taipei Backstage Wholesale Business District Development Promotion Association, said that the Taipei Backstage Business District has long been known as Taiwan’s largest wholesale hub. In line with modern trends, many shops have transitioned to retail while still offering near-wholesale prices, making it a great deal for shoppers.
From July 22 to August 16, shops will offer limited-edition Valentine’s goods, highlighted by the “1314 Couple Exclusive” and “520 Almost Lovers” promotions.The “1314 Couple Exclusive” features carefully selected lover sets—such as matching watches, rings, necklaces, meal combos, and more—all available for a special price of 1,314 TWD. Some items are worth over ten thousand TWD, with discounts as high as up to 90% off. The “520 Almost Lovers” selection includes popular romantic gifts like skincare products, perfumes, and bags, all for just 520 TWD.
On August 2 and 3, exciting activities will be held at the Nostalgia Plaza near Exit Y13 of the underground mall. A special “Love DIY” experience zone will be set up where shops provide materials for couples to make their own love-themed gifts, creating lasting memories through hands-on crafting.The most thrilling and fun event will be the couples’ flash moment—the “Shining Love PK Challenge.” Twenty couples will compete in challenges, including one where the man carries the woman and kisses her—the couple that lasts the longest in this challenge will win, with the top three receiving prizes worth up to 10,000 TWD. There will also be a consolation round where men shout “I love you” to their partners—the loudest voice wins a romantic gift. Even couples who don’t win will receive a participation prize.
The Summer Festival promotion runs from July 22 to August 16. Additionally, starting August 2, customers spending over 1,000 TWD at shops displaying the “Summer Festival Partner Shop” sticker will receive a limited-edition, specially designed Backstage Business District shopping bag on the spot.In conjunction with the Taipei Shopping Festival, starting August 1, customers spending over 100 TWD at any shop in the district that issues invoices can enter a shopping festival lottery. By registering your invoice online, you could win a car—and the earlier you register, the higher your chances of winning.
