Australia’s exciting annual event— the 2014 Hamilton Island Race Week—is set to take place from August 16 to 23. During this period, sailors and spectators from around the globe will gather on Hamilton Island to experience the festive atmosphere of Australia’s largest annual keelboat regatta on land.Located on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is renowned for its pleasant climate, crystal-clear blue waters, beautiful beaches, stunning coral reefs, and rich biodiversity of flora and fauna. Organized by the Hamilton Island Yacht Club, the Hamilton Island Race Week is one of Australia’s most popular yachting events and a highly anticipated fixture on the international sailing calendar. Visitors coming at this time can not only witness a series of dynamic and exciting races, but also enjoy a variety of entertaining activities, such as delicious meals prepared by renowned chefs, colorful fashion shows, fun golf tournaments, and delightful wine tastings... and more.

The Hamilton Island Yacht Club is situated between Hamilton Island Marina and Dent Island, and is often referred to as the “Sydney Opera House of Queensland.”It features a modern minimalist restaurant, a romantic bar overlooking the marina, private dining rooms, several multi-purpose spaces for events and conferences, as well as five state-of-the-art function halls, the largest of which can accommodate 350 guests.
