To encourage the public to reunite and travel during the Mid-Autumn holiday, the high-speed rail operator has applied the Early Bird Discount to 550 services during the Mid-Autumn travel period, accounting for 72.8% of the total services. Among these, 66 designated services in standard class with assigned seating will offer an Early Bird Discount of either 65% off (46 services) or 10% off (20 services) (see table below for applicable services). Passengers are encouraged to take advantage of these great deals.The high-speed rail operator stated that for services with travel dates starting from September 1, the advance purchase window for the Early Bird Discount has been adjusted to between 5 and 28 days before the travel date. Passengers who book within this period may enjoy Early Bird discounts of 65%, 80%, or 10% off; quantities are limited, so the earlier you book, the better your chances.
Additional Mid-Autumn Travel Train Services Schedule (Provided by Taiwan High-Speed Rail)
During the Mid-Autumn travel period, all services will continue to offer 3 to 4 cars of non-reserved seating. Passengers holding periodical tickets, round-trip tickets, or Easycard-linked credit cards (with auto top-up enabled) can enter stations directly by tapping their cards. Passengers are advised to reserve seats in advance and pick up their tickets early to enter stations directly upon arrival, saving time in ticket lines and avoiding station crowds.
※ During the travel period, the “College Student Discount” (applicable services listed on the company’s website), “Standard Class Cardholder Discounts,” and “Business Class Limited Upgrades” promotions will be available. The “Off-Peak Weekday Discount,” “Senior Citizen Discount,” “Group Discounts for 30+ People,” and “School Excursion” programs will not be available.
