Roppongi Hills Midtown Plaza in Tokyo is home to over 100 cherry blossom trees, creating a spectacularly beautiful sight when they bloom in spring. This year, Midtown is also hosting its annual “Midtown Blossom 2015” cherry blossom event from March 20 to April 19. Unlike typical picnics on the grass to enjoy the blossoms, visitors here can relax in an open-air LOUNGE and admire the beautiful spring cherry blossoms in a laid-back and enjoyable atmosphere.

Roppongi Hills Midtown Plaza is planted with 150 cherry blossom trees of eight different varieties. To celebrate the eighth anniversary of the opening of Roppongi Hills Midtown Plaza, this year’s “Midtown Blossom 2015” has partnered with the world’s number one sweet sparkling wine, “MARTINI,” to launch the MARTINI Blossom Lounge. On March 30 at 11:00 AM, the first 500 visitors were offered a complimentary pink champagne tasting. Visitors planning to enjoy the cherry blossoms should not miss this unique experience that blends European elegance with the fun of an outdoor cherry blossom picnic.
