The annual “Penghu Maritime Fireworks Festival” illuminates the Penghu night sky from April 20 to June 25. During the event, fireworks are launched every Monday and Thursday at 9:00 PM in the Guanyin Pavilion area of Magong City for fifteen minutes, inviting visitors to celebrate the arrival of spring in Penghu with a spectacular display of fireworks.

The Penghu Maritime Fireworks Festival has been held since 2003 and has gained considerable popularity both domestically and internationally over the years, attracting large crowds of tourists during the event period. This year’s Penghu Fireworks Festival is themed “Happy菊 Island, Shining the World,” featuring internationally renowned fireworks teams to offer visitors the most dazzling visual feast. The event also coincides with Mother’s Day and the Dragon Boat Festival, so the organizers have added extra shows on Saturdays, making a total of 22 performances. The opening event on April 20 will begin at 7:30 PM, while other shows will start promptly at 8:00 PM.
