Taiwan High-Speed Rail adds three new stations—Miaoli, Changhua, and Yunlin—and will officially begin service on December 1st. In response, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced that high-speed rail ticket prices will be reduced, and free shuttle bus routes will be introduced at each of the three new stations.

The Miaoli, Changhua, and Yunlin stations will officially open on December 1st, increasing the total number of high-speed rail stations from seven to ten. To address passengers’ concerns about longer travel times, the new train operation plan will retain both the Taipei-Kaohsiung non-stop service and the all-stations service, while also introducing a skip-stop express service. This will not affect existing services with fewer stops.A new schedule of train times is expected to be announced in October.In terms of fares, based on the current high-speed rail pricing system, the fares from Taipei to Miaoli, Changhua, and Yunlin are NT$475, NT$900, and NT$1,020 respectively. However, fares will be adjusted downward under the new fare structure.The new fares will be announced in November.。

High-Speed Rail announced on the 25th that starting December 1st, the Miaoli, Changhua, and Yunlin stations will be added, with fares set at NT$430, NT$820, and NT$930 respectively. Fares from Taipei to other stations—including Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung—have also been reduced, to NT$700, NT$1,350, and NT$1,490 respectively. Tickets go on sale November 4th. Additionally, with the addition of Miaoli, Yunlin, and Changhua, the full line now includes ten stations, and a round-trip between Taipei and Zuoying with every station stop takes a total of 150 minutes.
