Where to cool off this summer? Yilan has its Children's Play Festival, Nantou has the Shuili Water Play Festival. The 104th Shuili Water Play Festival kicks off joyfully over three consecutive weekends starting July 24 at Shuili Township’s Water Park.

The Shuili Water Park introduces cool, clear stream water from the Shuili River, creating a safe and comfortable environment for water play—it’s a great summer destination in Shuili. In preparation for this year’s event, the organizers have ensured an ample water supply so everyone can enjoy themselves. After several years of hosting the festival, it has gained considerable popularity. Each week features fun-themed activities, along with thoughtfully designed photo zones with cute main visuals, water play areas for family games, children’s amusement zones, adorable inflatable play areas, and the Treasure Hunt Ball Pit—ensuring a cool and fulfilling experience for all.

The 104 Water Play Festival officially launched on July 24, with themed carnival events held over three consecutive weekends. These include the first week’s “Children’s Carnival” (July 24–26), showcasing kids’ energy and vitality; the second week’s “Passion Carnival” (July 31–August 2), encouraging unlimited talent and highlighting local creativity through community performances; and the third week’s “Family Carnival” (August 6–9), featuring a Father’s Day special event “The Birth of the King” and parent-child fashion and talent shows.
