More and more people are embracing solo travel, packing their bags and venturing to different cities at their own pace to explore and enjoy complete freedom. To meet the growing demand for solo travel, a new type of capsule-like accommodation has emerged. This year, SINGLE INN, a single-room hotel, opened in Banqiao, Taipei. Not only is it conveniently located, but the prices are also very affordable – you can stay in a comfortable single room for less than NT$1,000. Additionally, guests can enjoy services such as hot spring baths and saunas, making solo travel an incredibly enjoyable experience.

SINGLE INN currently has two branches, one in Kaohsiung and one in Banqiao, Taipei. Both are just about a 10-minute walk from the train station and MRT station, making them very convenient for travelers without private transportation. The hotel uses partitions to create individual single rooms. Though small, they come with everything you need, including a single bed, Muji bedding, a 32-inch TV, and a side table. Please note that since the rooms are only separated by simple partition walls, soundproofing is not ideal. Guests are encouraged to respect others by keeping noise to a minimum. For those who are light sleepers, earplugs are available at the front desk.

In addition to the private single rooms, SINGLE INN also emphasizes guest interaction by providing spacious common areas and free drinks where guests can relax and share travel stories. As for the bathing facilities, both branches feature Japanese-style public baths, offering not only regular showers but also services such as hot springs and saunas. (The large bathhouse at the Taipei branch is currently under construction and is expected to be completed after autumn.)
