Busy modern life has led more and more people to focus on wellness and health. Riding this wave, Genie Juicery, the first cold-pressed juice retail store in Hong Kong co-founded by mixed-race Hong Kong model Cara G. (Cara Grogan McIlroy) and her Australian friend Melanie Barnish, has crossed the sea to expand to Taiwan. Its first store officially opened in Neihu in mid-September.

Since 2011, Genie Juicery has offered Hong Kong’s widest variety of cold-pressed juices and diverse juice detox cleanse packages, becoming a beloved healthy beverage brand among the city’s fashion scene and busy professionals. The founders, Cara G. and Melanie Barnish, initially started the first cold-pressed juice retail store in Hong Kong in 2011 because they couldn’t find suitable health-focused detox juice options despite living in Hong Kong for years. The store sells cold-pressed juices, juice cleanse packages, superfood smoothies, nut milks, and cold brew coffee, among other wholesome beverages. Today, Genie Juicery’s healthy juices are the go-to choice for Hong Kong’s fashion elite and busy professionals.

Taiwan is now the first overseas expansion destination for Genie Juicery. Its first store will be located on Zhouzi Street in Neihu Science Park, targeting busy office workers who often neglect healthy eating. It will offer the most convenient cold-pressed juice retail service, allowing professionals to easily get the fruit and vegetable nutrients their bodies need. The store is set to officially open in mid-September.

To celebrate the opening, Genie Juicery launched a limited pre-sale on its famous Juice Cleanse detox packages on its official Taiwanese website starting August 28. Each set contains eight bottles, combining different fruit and vegetable juice flavors. There are three options — beginner, intermediate, and advanced — catering to various needs of juice cleanse enthusiasts.
