Once voted the No. 1 Christmas celebration that people “most want to spend with their loved ones,” Japan’s Universal Studios has launched its 55-day winter event “Universal Cool Japan Christmas” from November 13 to January 6 of the following year. Within the park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will offer a brand-new winter-limited set menu, and a brand-new story-based Christmas performance show, “The Song of an Angel III,” will also make its debut, giving visitors a truly one-of-a-kind magical Christmas experience.

During winter, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is covered in snow, adding to the immersive atmosphere for park guests. A limited-time magical menu is also available during this period. Universal Studios has recreated a luxurious meal mentioned in the original novel “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” — the first lavish meal Harry ever tasted. This delightful cuisine warms the hearts and stomachs of fans.

The globally acclaimed “The Song of an Angel” performance has been transformed this year into a dazzling audiovisual spectacle. Radiant angels dance gracefully in the sky to serene and tender melodies, creating a grand, awe-inspiring space through powerful light and sound effects and vibrant colors. The show “The Song of an Angel III” is composed by the world-renowned Japanese composer Toshio Muramatsu, and performed by the British boys’ choir “Libera (Angel Voices),” known as “the world’s brief angelic voices,” whose beautiful singing touches the hearts of all visitors.

In addition, the “World’s No. 1 Light Christmas Tree,” certified by the Guinness World Records for four consecutive years, is a must-see limited-time attraction within the park. Standing at 36 meters tall and adorned with more than 360,000 lights that twinkle like stars, this year’s dreamlike Christmas tree will appear in a brand-new form before visitors’ eyes as part of “The Song of an Angel III.” The daytime Christmas parade “Santa’s Toy March,” which has been popular for years, now welcomes the Minions as new participants, dancing and singing alongside kids dressed as mini Santas, making this Christmas celebration truly unique.
