Universal Studios Japan in Osaka is beloved by both domestic and international tourists and is one of the must-visit attractions for many travelers to Osaka. Now, there's another option for Universal Studios fans — Japan’s second Universal Studios will be built in Okinawa. This brand-new Universal Studios will incorporate Okinawa’s unique natural environment by adding ocean and sunshine themes to create a completely new theme park. It is expected to open in spring 2020.

Japan’s second Universal Studios will be located in Okinawa. Though smaller in scale compared to Universal Studios Osaka and Tokyo Disneyland, the Okinawa park will not only feature brand-new attractions but also present a completely different theme style from its Osaka counterpart. Combining Okinawa’s natural island scenery, it will offer a brand-new Universal Studios ocean-themed park. It is expected to be completed by spring 2020 and will open no later than the Tokyo Olympics.
