According to the “Government Agencies’ Adjustment of Working Days Handling Principles” amended by the Executive Yuan, if a holiday falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, it will be adjusted to the preceding Saturday as a working day. The make-up working days next year are January 30, June 4, and September 10.

Next year’s long holidays (3 days or more) total 7, including the Founding Day of the Republic of China (3 days), Lunar New Year’s Eve and Spring Festival holidays (9 days), Peace Memorial Day (3 days), Children’s Day and Tomb-Sweeping Day (4 days), Dragon Boat Festival (4 days), Mid-Autumn Festival (4 days), and National Day (3 days), totaling 116 public holidays.
Among them, the Spring Festival holiday runs from February 6 to February 14. Since New Year’s Eve falls on a Sunday, it will be adjusted to a make-up holiday on February 11 (Thursday), with February 12 (Friday) as a holiday, and a make-up workday on January 30 (Saturday).

● Lunar New Year’s Eve and Spring Festival holidays run from February 6 to February 14 (Saturday to the following Sunday, totaling 9 days off)
● Peace Memorial Day holiday runs from February 27 to February 29 (Saturday to Monday, totaling 3 days off)
● Children’s Day and Tomb-Sweeping Day holiday runs from April 2 to April 5 (Saturday to Tuesday, totaling 4 days off)
● Dragon Boat Festival holiday runs from June 9 to June 12 (Thursday to Sunday, totaling 4 days off)
● Mid-Autumn Festival holiday runs from September 15 to September 18 (Thursday to Monday, totaling 4 days off)
● National Day holiday runs from October 8 to October 10 (Saturday to Monday, totaling 3 days off)
