To meet the growing demand for air passenger traffic, Taoyuan Airport held an international design competition for Terminal 3 in June this year, inviting experts in terminal design from around the world to participate. The final results of the competition were officially announced on October 30th!

In the second phase of the international design competition for Taoyuan Airport’s Terminal 3 area, the winning team was an elite consortium comprising the renowned Taiwan CECI, UK-based Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Ove Arup and Partners Hong Kong Limited, and the local CHUNG MAY Architects. Their innovative and outstanding planning and design concepts, along with highly efficient circulation, deeply moved the judges — particularly the interior experience concept that adapts dynamically to user flow. The winning model for Terminal 3’s international design competition has also been unveiled to the public for the first time after much anticipation.
