Taiwan’s Largest Travel Expo Kicks Off in Taipei – 2015 Taipei International Travel Fair

The longest-running and largest tourism event, the 2015 ITF Taipei International Travel Fair, will be held from November 6 over four consecutive days at the World Trade Center’s Hall 1 and Hall 3, featuring 1,450 booths. A total of 60 countries and regions and 950 tourism entities are enthusiastically participating.

Known as the “travel anniversary sale,” the Taipei International Travel Fair not only features a wide range of attractive travel packages offered by tourism authorities, airlines, and travel agencies from around the world, but also sees top-tier hotels rolling out their strongest promotions on meal vouchers, accommodation coupons, and afternoon tea deals. In addition, this year the event offers more prize draws, lucky bags, credit card spending rewards, and early-bird gifts and spending incentives at the “Millions Love Travel” theme zone than ever before, with a total prize value exceeding NT$15 million.

This year’s new exhibitors include the California Tourism Bureau, Taiwan China Amex, Chihpin Jinlian Century Hotel, Shinmoku Valley Holiday Hotel, and Flyfish Travel Agency. Countries that have returned to the event include Canada, Fiji, and the Czech Republic. Meanwhile, fan favorites among Taiwanese travelers such as Japan, Thailand, South Korea, the United States, and Hong Kong are all in attendance. Japan alone has 157 booths this year (including the Japan Pavilion, Japan Airlines, Hall 1 second floor Zone H, and JAPANKURU), making it the largest exhibiting country. Domestic participants are also actively involved, with the Council of Indigenous Peoples and the Council of Agriculture promoting “tribal tourism” and “fruit-picking routes,” offering distinctive travel experiences across different seasons.

Additionally, this year’s fair ticket grants access to two exhibitions and three exhibition zones, along with two chances to enter prize draws. Prizes from the ITF main stage ticket raffle include an ANA All Nippon Airways business class round-trip ticket from Taipei via Tokyo to any destination on the U.S. West Coast, an EVA Air round-trip economy class ticket to any global destination, a China Airlines long-haul economy class round-trip ticket to any destination, a TransAsia Airways international round-trip economy class ticket to any route, a Japan Airlines round-trip economy class ticket between Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and Japan (NRT/KIX/NGO), a Tigerair round-trip ticket to any destination, a premium room at Ambassador Hotel, a premium room at Grand Hotel, and a room at Taiyuan Miyako Millennium Hotel.
