The 2015 Xinshè Flower Sea and Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival officially kicked off on the 7th of this month. The vast expanse of colorful flower carpets is simply breathtaking, attracting many visitors to come and admire the blossoms. To make it more convenient for flower-viewing tourists to grasp traffic and travel information, the Taichung City Government has also compiled transportation and travel information, launching five “Smart Tips” and a “Transportation Guide” for flower viewing, hoping everyone can have an even more enjoyable time.

In addition, to encourage more people to use public transportation, this year’s Xinshè Flower Sea event has planned four shuttle bus routes. To enhance transport capacity, 10 additional public bus routes have been added—routes 31, 91, 264, 265, 270, 271, 272, 275, 276, and 277. It is also recommended that those who prefer to drive themselves depart before 9:00 AM to avoid the traffic control period.
