With the booming demand for Japan travel, TransAsia Airways is upgrading its Japan services by deploying the more spacious Airbus A330 on the Tokyo route starting November. To celebrate the A330’s inaugural flight to Tokyo, the airline recently mobilized 285 mini TransAsia air hostess teddy bears on board its GE606 flight from Taoyuan to Narita. Additionally, to celebrate the new aircraft, passengers flying on A330-operated Japan routes from now until January next year can enjoy an extra 10KG of free checked baggage allowance.

In addition to Tokyo, TransAsia Airways serves six other Japanese destinations including Osaka, Okinawa, Sapporo, Hakodate, and Asahikawa, offering 42 flights per week. To celebrate the arrival of the A330, from November 1 this year to January 31 next year, passengers flying on A330-operated Japan routes—including Tokyo, Osaka, and Hokkaido (Sapporo, Hakodate, Asahikawa)—will receive an additional free 10KG baggage allowance. This brings the total checked baggage allowance to 30KG for economy class passengers, 40KG for business class, and up to 50KG for DragonPass members.
