With the unveiling of the Taichung Xinshe Flower Sea and the Taipei Shilin Official Residence Chrysanthemum Exhibition, a wave of flower-viewing enthusiasm has swept through. If you’d rather avoid the crowds at popular spots, consider visiting the Yanping Riverside to admire flowers—over 50,000 seasonal blooms are arranged into a romantic sea of color, with the viewing period lasting until late December.

This new floral attraction is located near the Dunhuang Wharf. It’s just a 10-minute bike ride north from Dadaocheng Wharf. The flower sea features over 50,000 seasonal plants, including crabapple blossoms in four colors—red, peach, pink, and white—alongside purple salvia, yellow cosmos, and gaillardia, creating a vibrant ribbon-like floral display. The design incorporates wavy patterns that highlight the distinctive landscape of the riverside park.

Additionally, the nearby “Taipei Light Board” has become a recent favorite. Composed of 17,280 metal pieces, its colors shift beautifully between day and evening, offering captivating light and shadow effects—a perfect spot for photos. The Dihua Sports Park’s levee-top viewing platform stands about 8 meters (roughly two stories) high, providing an exceptional vantage point to take in the full expanse of the flower sea as well as sweeping views of the Tamsui River. The spacious and comfortable seating area makes it ideal for relaxing under the sunset, starlight, or moonlight while enjoying the riverside ambiance.
