The Ribbon Chapel is located within a resort in Japan’s SetoInland Sea and was designed by Japanese architect Hiroshi Nakamura of Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Architects. As the name suggests, the design concept is based on a “ribbon,” featuring spiral staircases that wrap around the church building. Starting from two different points, the staircases spiral upwards and intertwine, eventually meeting at the top. From there, couples can enjoy the endless views of greenery and ocean, much like how two people’s paths, once separate, converge to build a shared future full of infinite possibilities.
