Every autumn, it’s the most beautiful season in Chihsi, Taitung. During this time, vast rice fields turn golden yellow, and when the wind from the Huatung Valley blows through, the golden stalks sway in unison, creating movements as mesmerizing as waves of shimmering gold — a truly beautiful sight that attracts many visitors. And when you come to Chihsi, aside from admiring the stunning sea of rice, it would be a pity not to try the most authentic local delicacies.

In Chihsi, there's a dream breakfast spot that travelers rave about — “Dachi Tofu Skin Shop.” Everyone who’s tried it highly recommends it. Nestled in an alleyway, Dachi Tofu Skin Shop is actually a tofu skin factory with over 50 years of history, supplying most of the tofu skin in Taitung County. Though the iron-sheeted storefront may not look impressive, some of the most astonishing flavors are often hidden in places like this.
