The OPEN Family Giant Balloon Parade is Here – Gudetama Joins for the First Time

The much-loved OPEN Family Giant Balloon Parade is here again this year. The 10th LET’S OPEN Giant Balloon Parade, with the theme “Starting Anew, Feeling Anew,” will be held on December 6 and 12 at the Xinzhuang Special District in New Taipei City and Dream Mall in Kaohsiung.

The LET’S OPEN Giant Balloon Parade is Asia’s largest cartoon-themed balloon parade. This year, over 20 groups of cartoon balloons will join in the fun, including new members Gudetama and the Little Bear School making their first appearances. In addition, more than 1,500 performers and student groups will take part in this grand event. The OPEN San will showcase a fresh musical style, with marching bands energizing the crowd. After the parade, there will also be an outdoor movie screening and nighttime balloon displays. Fans are invited to kick off the fun at 2 PM on December 12 at Dream Mall in Kaohsiung.

Riding on last year’s success, the OPEN Family has once again been invited by the New Taipei City Government to hold the parade on December 6 at the Xinzhuang Special District in New Taipei City. Local top-tier marching bands will gather, and the OPEN Family Band will debut a brand-new look, spreading joy and happiness through music alongside the giant balloons.
