A Guide to the 9 Major Events at New Taipei Christmas Town – Experience the Magic of Christmas

The 2015 New Taipei Christmas Town officially opened on November 20. The event wowed the crowd with its “360-degree 3D holographic projection Christmas tree,” attracting many tourists and passersby. Since its opening, in addition to beautiful Christmas lights, there will be a total of nine events held at the town until January 2016 to let everyone experience its charm.

● Kids' Carnival
Event time: November 21 (Sat) – November 22 (Sun), 13:00–20:00
Event overview: Magic shows, live fairy tales, Santa Claus handing out candy and having fun with kids, plus appearances by well-known performance troupes such as the If Children’s Theatre and a meet-and-greet with Finn and Jake from Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time — bringing you the happiest and warmest Christmas ever.
● Christmas Eco-Treasure Hunt
Event time: November 28 (Sat) – November 29 (Sun), 14:00–18:00
Event overview:
On November 28 (Sat), enjoy a Christmas fun fair organized by New Taipei City’s environmental volunteers — delicious treats and fun activities, while learning about eco-friendly living and protecting the Earth together.
On November 29 (Sun), the New Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau hosts a flea market. Come dig for treasures and pick out a special Christmas gift for yourself.

● Christmas Market
Event time: December 4 (Fri) – December 6 (Sun), 11:00–21:00
Event overview: Featuring quality goods from the city and specialty products from various local business districts, this market brings a unique Christmas atmosphere to New Taipei. You can even get all your Christmas gifts in one go.
