Every December, streets and malls are filled with a variety of Christmas decorations, adding a warm ambiance to the cityscape. For a deeply European-style Christmas scene, the Mandarin Oriental Taipei’s “Golden Mandarin Christmas Celebration” is a great choice. Not only can you see a 21-meter-tall Christmas tree on Dunhua North Road, glowing in rose gold radiance — the tallest Christmas tree among Taiwan’s five-star hotels — but inside, there is also a European-style Christmas market. Christmas trees are visible everywhere, filling the hotel inside and out with delightful surprises.

In addition to the grand Christmas tree at the entrance, the inner courtyard plaza features two blue-purple Christmas trees — one tall and one short — which are quite dreamy and eye-catching. In between, there are red armchairs available for guests and visitors to take photos. Various European-style market stalls around sell Christmas ornaments and small items, making it a great place to pick gifts or buy festive decorations.

Additionally, Santa Claus and Christmas ladies will randomly hand out candy; find the lost reindeer hidden around the mall, take photos to complete the collection, and receive a small gift; take a photo with Santa or the Christmas lady and upload it to your social media for a chance to win a mystery gift. There is also a Christmas tree photography contest where Christmas tree enthusiasts can share their beautiful holiday captures during this festive season.
