The most anticipated concert of the Gongguan Christmas Season will be held on December 19th at the Taipei Water Museum. From 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, in addition to fresh performances by bands like KurumiQ and The Lighters, this year the event once again invites Professor Yeh Shu-han, known as a master in the wind instrument community, to personally conduct the National Taiwan Normal University Wind Orchestra. Paired with choral vocals, the Taipei Water Museum will kick off the Christmas season with joyful and warm melodies. This year’s performance will feature opera pieces for the first time, such as Cavalleria Rusticana and The Phantom of the Opera. Moreover, entry to the museum will be free on December 19th—music lovers shouldn’t miss it.

This year’s Gongguan Christmas Season is themed “Snowflake Christmas – Flowers Shine at the Water Museum.” In addition to using elegant lighting and water reflections to enhance the refined charm of the Taipei Water Museum, nearly a thousand poinsettias have been arranged into a lush green wall, with cute reindeer and sleds set up in front for visitors of all ages to take photos. There are also numerous colorful floral displays, allowing guests to experience the joyous Christmas spirit of sleigh rides. On the afternoon of December 19th, Santa Claus will be on-site for interactions and photo ops, and from 5:30 PM, there will also be free blind massage experiences and stage activity giveaways.

Getting there is very convenient whether you take the MRT, bus, or drive. MRT riders can get off at Gongguan Station, exit at Exit 4, and walk a few minutes along Siyuan Street to arrive. During the event, the area will be crowded, so it is recommended to use public transportation.
