● Daxue Mountain A Cherry Blossom Feast in the Mountains
Take a spring outing in the suburbs to usher in good fortune and enjoy cherry blossoms while experiencing the pleasure of forest bathing with your family. During the festive New Year holiday, colorful flowers of all kinds are especially delightful. During the Spring Festival, the cherry blossoms on Daxue Mountain bloom in warm, cheerful pink hues that are a feast for the eyes. The misty forests of Daxue Mountain are serene and tranquil, and you may occasionally encounter rare Mikado pheasants and Swinhoe’s pheasants along the forest trails. In winter, you can enjoy cherry blossoms and take a refreshing forest breath. Visit attractions such as the Snow Mountain Sacred Tree, Tianchi (Heavenly Lake), the Little Snow Mountain Maze, and the observation deck for panoramic views, as well as cherry blossom viewing, forest trails, and nighttime eco-tours.

● Forest, Hot Springs, Cycling, and Fruit Picking?
Want to soak in hot springs in the mountains to welcome the new year and rejuvenate? You can visit the [Baxian Mountain] Forest Recreation Area near Guguan Hot Springs in Taichung County. It is one of Taiwan’s four major forest farms. Along the way, you’ll find dense forests and lush bamboo forest bathing trails. At the shrine ruins, you can imagine the cultural history of the past, and there are also stream landscape areas where you can enjoy forest bathing, be cleansed by the beauty of nature, and forget your worries. Then head to the Guguan Hot Spring Museum and Guguan Hot Springs for a relaxing soak, or go cycling.
