The well-known aviation industry evaluation website AirlineRatings.com has published its latest flight safety evaluation results. EVA Air has once again achieved excellent results and joined the list of the world’s safest airlines, standing alongside internationally renowned carriers such as Qantas, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and Air New Zealand. This marks the third time that EVA Air has been included on the list.

EVA Air has previously also been recognized by the evaluation website as one of the “Top Ten Best Airlines” and one of the “Top Ten Best Cabin Service Airlines,” among many other awards. This latest recognition as one of the world’s safest airlines affirms its excellence in both flight safety and service quality.

This assessment covered a total of 407 airlines worldwide. A preliminary screening was conducted based on seven criteria, including regulations set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), audit results from civil aviation authorities, and the airlines’ safety records. A second rigorous evaluation was then carried out, assessing fleet operations, maintenance standards, and safety records to select the world’s safest airlines.
AirlineRatings’ Seven Flight Safety Evaluation Criteria:
1. Passed the operational safety audit and certification by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
2. Complies with EU aircraft maintenance and regulatory safety standards, and is not listed on the EU’s “blacklist” of banned airlines.
3. No fatal accidents involving passenger fatalities in the past ten years (excluding terrorist attacks).
4. The civil aviation authority of the country where the airline operates flights to the U.S. has passed the safety evaluation by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
5. The civil aviation authority of the airline’s home country complies with all eight categories of safety standards under the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP).
6. Has never been ordered to suspend flights by aviation authorities due to safety issues.
7. The airline’s fleet does not consist entirely of aircraft manufactured in Russia.
