From February 6 to February 29, 2016, Nikko City in the northwest of Tochigi Prefecture will host the “Nikko-Kinugawa Onsen Festival.” During the event, hotels will offer special New Year’s cuisine and free hot spring bathing, and guests staying at participating accommodations can also receive special gifts. Additionally, various tourist facilities will provide discounted admission. It’s a great opportunity to visit Japan during this period and experience the unique charm of the Nikko-Kinugawa Onsen resort area.

The Kinugawa Onsen resort, part of Nikko National Park, has a history of over 300 years and is one of the most representative hot spring tourist destinations in the Kanto region of Japan. During the “Nikko-Kinugawa Onsen Festival,” a foreign tourist service desk offering Chinese and English travel consultation services will be set up at Kinugawa-Onsen Station. From February 8 to 14, foreign tourists will also receive a free one-day “Kinugawa Onsen Sightseeing Bus Pass,” and hotels will provide complimentary shuttle bus services.
