Thanks to the warm winter, the plum blossom season has been slightly delayed. But starting this week through the end of January, it’s the perfect time to see the plum blossoms in full bloom at Meiling – the best viewing window of the year. The Xilaya Scenic Area Administration has specially released a lazy guide to plum blossom viewing, introducing scenic spots within the park for visitors’ reference. During this period, there’s also a limited-time photo check-in reward event – you might even win a cozy scarf.

Meiling is the largest plum-producing region in southern Taiwan. In recent years, the Xilaya Scenic Area Administration has integrated agriculture with tourism, allowing visitors not only to enjoy the beauty of plum blossoms but also to get some mountain exercise. It’s recommended that visitors follow the Wulong Trail to reach the largest plum blossom area in Meiling and immerse themselves in a sea of white blossoms that look like snow. If you’re up for a challenge, continue along the trail to “Chushuiwei,” a hidden gem known only to locals, where the plum blossoms are particularly stunning.

Besides January, visitors can also enjoy flower viewing in early February at Meifeng Ancient Trail, where mountain cherry blossoms, peonies, azaleas, and camellias are in full bloom. The mountainsides burst into vibrant colors, offering all visitors one of the happiest moments of spring.
