As winter fades, various regions across Taiwan gradually enter cherry blossom season. In addition to the more well-known hotspots like Yangmingshan, Tamsui Tianyuan Temple, and Wuling Farm, there are actually many other popular spots waiting for visitors to explore. Below is a compilation of popular cherry blossom spots across Taiwan for your reference.

● Taipei
→ Section 42, Pingjing Street, Yangmingshan
→ Fuxing 3rd Road, Beitou

● New Taipei
All 29 districts of New Taipei City have cherry blossoms, but they are most densely concentrated in Sanzhi, Wulai, and Sanxia; more remote areas such as Tamsui, Xizhi, Pinglin, Shiding, Ruifang, and Shuangxi also have plenty. Urban areas including Sanchong's Zhongxin Road, several parks in Xinzhuang, Zhonghe's Hongludi, Banqiao's Xinzhuang Special Zone, and Xindian’s Sunshine Sports Park all feature cherry blossoms “showing their red.” In 2016, they were expected to bloom gradually from late February.

→ Tenglong Royal Cherry Blossoms
→ Tamsui Wujitianyuan Temple (cherry blossom season around mid-March)
→ Shiding Wujitianming Temple
→ Tucheng Taiji Ridge

● Taoyuan
→ Lala Mountain En’ai Farm (mid-February to mid-March)
→ North Cross-Island Highway area (Cherry Blossom Festival from January 23 to March 6)
→ Shoushan Rock (late February to late March)
→ Dongyanshan (January 23 to February 10)
→ Jiabanshan (January 23 to February 10)
