The Democratic Progressive Party produced 790,000 NT$1 Spring Festival red envelopes this year. The lantern design symbolizes "Lighting Up Taiwan" and was handed out by President-elect Tsai during her temple visits from Lunar New Year’s Day to the fourth day.
