Colorful flowers bloom across the mountains as Hsinchu's Flower Appreciation Month kicks off

As spring arrives and flowers blossom, Hsinchu’s “Eighteen Peaks Mountain Flower Appreciation Month” officially launches in March. Each year, the event attracts numerous visitors eager to enjoy the floral spectacle. During the festival, the mountain is blanketed in vibrant blooms, and flower enthusiasts can take in a variety of colorful blossoms while also planning hiking and trekking activities—truly a delightful experience!

During the Eighteen Peaks Mountain Flower Appreciation Month, organizers also host a “Jogging in the Woods” event every weekday morning, inviting everyone to come up the mountain to admire the flowers and enjoy the fresh forest air. Additionally, a guided tour titled “The Floral World of Eighteen Peaks Mountain” is available by reservation every Saturday, offering an in-depth experience of the mountain’s lush beauty and intellectual charm. Visitors can also explore the Gravity Reference Station, which is specially opened for the Flower Appreciation Month. March always draws large crowds to Eighteen Peaks Mountain, but due to ongoing waterproofing work at the parking lot, flexible traffic controls will be in place. Visitors are advised to take the Blue 1 District city bus, get off at “Shuiyuan Di,” and walk to the mountain.
