The annual "Penghu Maritime Fireworks Festival" will shine over the Penghu night skies from April 18 to June 23. Shows are held every Monday and Thursday at 9:00 PM in the Guanyinting Park area of Magong City. On May 16 (Monday), the event will take place on Jibei Island instead. Additionally, special weekend shows have been added for April 30, May 7, and June 18 (all Saturdays), bringing the total number of shows to 23.

The Penghu Maritime Fireworks Festival has been held since 2003 and has built considerable popularity both domestically and internationally over the years, attracting large numbers of visitors during the event period. This year’s festival is themed “Penghu Takes Off, Making the World More Beautiful.” In addition to inviting renowned fireworks teams to deliver a stunning visual spectacle, the event also features performances by popular artists such as Wei-Li An, Fire EX., and Bii (Bii Shu-Jen). With Mother’s Day and the Dragon Boat Festival falling during the event period, organizers have added extra shows on Saturdays, making a total of 23 shows. The opening ceremony on April 18 will begin at 7:30 PM, with the opening fireworks display running from 9:00 to 9:20 PM. The remaining shows will start at 8:00 PM sharp, with fireworks displays from 9:00 to 9:15 PM, aiming to welcome the spring season in Penghu with dazzling and beautiful fireworks.
