The UK-based independent non-profit research organization Skytrax announced the results of the 2016 Global Airport Rankings on the 17th, with Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport retaining its position as the 3rd best airport in the world (for airports handling 30–40 million passengers) and ranking 9th among the best airports in Asia. In addition, it ranked within the top 10 in several categories, including World's Best Airport Staff, Asia's Best Airport Staff, World's Best Passport Control Airport, World's Best Security Check Airport, World's Best Airport Leisure Facilities, and World's Cleanest Airport, achieving recognition in multiple areas.

Although Taoyuan Airport saw a slight drop in its global ranking among the top 100 airports—from 17th last year to 20th—due to runway renovation, single-runway operations, and aging airport infrastructure, its efforts to strengthen cleanliness and service quality have begun to pay off. This allowed the airport to rank in the top 10 for the world’s cleanest airport for the first time.

In the 2015 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey results recently released by the Airports Council International (ACI), Taoyuan International Airport also retained its 2nd place ranking among global airports handling 25–40 million passengers. It received high praise from travelers worldwide in various categories evaluating airport software services and staff performance, demonstrating that the service quality of Taoyuan Airport personnel, as well as its dining, retail services, cleanliness, and comfort, hold strong competitive strength on the global stage.

To provide passengers with even higher-quality services, in addition to completing the renovation of its two runways last year, the airport company is currently actively upgrading its taxiways, vigorously promoting the construction of Terminal 3, planning for a third runway, and continuously updating aging airport facilities. It is believed that even better results will be achieved in the future.
