December 1st of this year marks the 26th World AIDS Day. On the eve of World AIDS Day, on November 27th, Tianzhu County organized a “Stop AIDS, Everyone’s Involvement” hiking event to raise awareness about HIV prevention.
“I’m very glad to take part in this anti-AIDS hiking activity. As a young person, I have the duty to actively participate in AIDS prevention awareness efforts.” At the event site, the Tianzhu County AIDS Prevention Center engaged the public through activities such as wearing red ribbons, collective signing, sharing AIDS prevention knowledge, and organizing a hiking competition—encouraging broad participation, raising public awareness of HIV prevention, enhancing individuals’ self-protection abilities, eliminating discrimination against those living with HIV, and involving more people in care actions for those affected by the virus.
It is reported that over 100 hiking enthusiasts from the county took part in the event. Participants included not only teenagers but also seniors over 70 years old. Nearly 200 copies of AIDS prevention promotional materials and hiking prizes were distributed at the scene.
