Hawaii Grill Honolulu Kitchen offers many popular dishes, such as Kalua Pig—a well-known Hawaiian specialty often featured at traditional Luau feasts. The traditional method involves salting a whole pig, wrapping it in banana leaves, and slow-smoking it underground for a full day, somewhat similar to Taiwan’s earthen pit barbecue. Thanks to the long smoking process, the meat becomes incredibly tender and melts in your mouth. It has even been ranked by food critics as one of “20 dishes you’d regret not trying before you die,” and was listed by CNN as the 15th most delicious food in the world.

Rotisserie Honey Glazed Chicken, known in Hawai‘i as Huli Huli Chicken, gets its name from the word “Huli,” which means “to flip.” As the name implies, the chicken is continuously turned while being grilled, giving it a beautiful caramelized color. The special grilling method also helps lock in all the juices. Our chef brought this dish to Tainan, marinating 8 oz chicken thighs with a unique secret recipe for 24 hours before roasting them. Thanks to careful heat control and constant basting during cooking, the thighs turn out juicy and tender, with every bite offering a rich aroma and the essence of the chicken. It’s definitely a must-order dish when visiting Hawaii Grill.
