Over the course of two consecutive days on August 27 and 28, the “2016 Hsinchu Kite Festival” was jointly held at the large lawn of Hsinchu Fishing Port. Promoted by the Hsinchu City Government, the event attracted 48,000 kite-loving visitors who came together to enjoy a land-and-air double feast that combined “wind” and “environmental protection,” keeping Hsinchu Fishing Port lively day and night.

Hsinchu Fishing Port is a great spot for kite flying. The upcoming “International Kite Field” at the new Hsinchu Fisherman’s Wharf, set to be completed in 2017, will provide a more professional and high-quality space for kite flying. Enthusiasts are sure to return year after year to join the festival, helping to vigorously promote stunt kiting and thereby boosting the appeal and highlights of the Nanzhuang area. Related surrounding facilities are also under preparation, and Hsinchu Fishing Port is expected to attract even more tourists in 2017.
