The charm of CJSJ definitely comes from its uniquely romantic dessert designs,
along with their innovative, layered textures.
The store name CJSJ stands for Mr. Soriano Joaquin, the French Michelin-trained pastry chef, and Ms. Chuang Ju, the culinary chef.
Their passion for desserts drives them to rotate different flavors and items every two months.
Located next to residential homes in West District, Taichung, they offer limited daily quantities, often selling out within hours
after opening at noon.

This time, I had the chance to work in Taichung and decided I simply had to try the renownedCJSJFrench-style pastries.
Many reviews said you need to queue up an hour early to secure your favorite flavors,
so we arrived at the shop around 10 a.m.
We thought we’d be the first, but there were already about seven or eight groups lined up.
Ten minutes before opening at 11 a.m., staff hand out numbered tickets, and each person is limited to buying four pastries.
CJSJIt’s said that each flavor is limited to just 50 pieces per day.

At 11 a.m. sharp, everyone entered in order and started ordering from the dessert display. Many pairs
went through nearly every available flavor.
Since we were only two people dining in, we were worried about not being able to finish too many,
so we chose three of the most beautiful and unique flavors.

The seats on the first floor feature an all-white setting with pink round tables and black chairs,
paired with elegant tableware from PIETER STOCKMANS.
