Literary-themed cafes are becoming increasingly popular in Taiwan, with similar spots popping up on every street corner and alley, winning widespread public affection. And it’s not just Taiwan and Japan that boast a rich coffee culture—Southeast Asian countries also have a long history of coffee drinking. Located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, there is a nine-storey coffee apartment where the entire building is filled with a variety of charming cafes, interspersed with a few clothing and nail salons.

This apartment is an old building from the mid-20th century, which was transformed into a coffee apartment in 2015. It retains traces of its former use as residences for government and military personnel, with each shop establishing its own style upon moving in, resulting in the current diverse and retro appearance. Whether in daylight or at night, the exterior of the apartment looks exceptionally unique.
