The majestic scenery of the Great Wall is breathtaking, but Taiwan also has a miniature version of the Great Wall hiking trail. Located in the Maolin National Scenic Area, Dragon Head Mountain features a small Great Wall hiking trail built along the mountain ridge, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys with beautiful scenery. Dragon Head Mountain is a rare tor formation, surrounded by three towering mountains, with meandering streams. The cliffs of Dragon Head Mountain rise sharply, with ridges resembling a dragon’s spine, and the entire terrain resembles a sleeping dragon. Additionally, the hills, eroded over time by flowing water, look from afar as if a giant dragon is spitting out pearls. It’s common to see flocks of eagles circling the cliffs or soaring along the valleys, hence it's also known as Eagle Valley.
