Situated in Wufeng Township, Hsinchu County, this area is surrounded by mist, offers captivating night scenes, and can rightly be called a hidden paradise. In cherry blossom season, visitors can enjoy the spectacular sight of fully bloomed cherry blossoms, with pink hues dotting the mountain landscape. Wufeng Township is an indigenous township, home to over 3,000-meter-high mountains, divided into four villages: Dayi, Taoshan, Huayuan, and Zhulin. The residents are primarily from the Atayal and Saisiyat tribes, along with a small number of Hakka people and post-war Chinese immigrants, making it the least populated highland township in Hsinchu County. It boasts abundant natural environments, ethnic cultures, and historical sites. One of its most culturally distinctive events is the biennial Saisiyat Pas-ta’ai (Ritual of the Short People), which attracts countless domestic and international tourists to the tribe every time it is held.
