Half a month after the exhibition ended, exhibitors in the fabric and accessory area of the 2014 Asia Outdoor Exhibition reported positive feedback. With new high-tech fabrics as the entry point, health-conscious and eco-friendly products became the main trend in outdoor gear this year. Shaoxing County Yangshi Textile Co., Ltd. showcased its newly developed YA’S TEX eco-friendly recycled fabric and functional four-way stretch fabric at the event.

The eye-catching highlight in the exhibition hall was a windbreaker made entirely from recycled plastic beverage bottles. With such technology, it has become possible to significantly reduce white pollution. During the exhibition, Yangshi Textile also launched a meaningful campaign—empty plastic beverage bottles could be exchanged for Wahaha mineral water. Exhibitors and professional visitors who saw the activity approached to inquire about its purpose, and Mr. Zhang Bin, product manager of Yangshi Textile, explained the environmental philosophy behind the campaign: “For every ton of recycled cola bottles, we can reduce 6 tons of consumption and 32 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. We hope to promote the concept of recycling through this activity and encourage more people to value environmental protection.” This idea was well received. During the event, people voluntarily placed their empty plastic bottles into the glass collection wall, truly practicing environmental protection starting with themselves. Media reporters from Zhejiang Satellite TV’s “Channel 6” and Liaoning Satellite TV’s “First Time” conducted interviews with Yangshi Textile.
